1st day of the camp(11/11)
We were supposed to reach the airport by 11 a.m but i arrived earlier to have breakfast with my family.
Then after that we checked all these and we board the plane at around 1.15 p.m.First time taking flight,it seems exciting but i am also nervous. Mark,from Christ Church Sec Sch,sitting beside me talk and share with me his experience of taking flights. After 2 flights,we reached Langkawi at about 6 p.m.
Then together with our luggage,we went to have dinner at “Kampung Siam”.We had dishes like Tom Yum soup,crabs,prawns,cabbages,chickens,fish and clambals. Delicious dinner before going for the camp.Then we get to the hotel and we checked in.We see sights that made Jasmine and Kerina felt uncomfortable so we share room together,4 in a room. Sihui,Kerina,Jasmine and me!~
2nd day of the camp(12/11)
We wake up at 5.30 a.m and had a buffet breakfast. Then take coach to the jetty and we take ferry to our base campsite. Then we were all spread to different groups .Raymond and I were in the group named “ Pollux”.Out of 18 members,Only 2 of us came from Singapore. And hardly none of them can speak in English =(. I felt so leftout and was like unable to communicate with them. At that moment,i felt like going home. So after lunch,we set off to our first campsite. I was so lonely as I could hardly talk with anyone of them. I did not eat much that dinner as i had no mood to eat. Then we had our first night reflections,sharing our expectations or hopes from this camp. And we also share the 6 core value:

Lastly,ability to speak in English. And this was how second night end!~
3rd day of the camp(13/11)
We wake up 5.30 a.m and prepared our breakfast and lunch. After our breakfast,we went to the beach for exercise and game. We ran about a distance of about 300 m. And we have our cool down/stretching exercise,lead by everyone. Then we played our games. Then back to campsite,we learnt compasses direction and bearing all these. Then we start trekking towards our destinations “pps”,but also going through 3 different checkpoint in order to confirm the roads we going. We reached our destinations in about less than 2 hours. I saw Alyssa and Jasmine they all,i felt so happy. We had our lunch over there then after the Malays prayed,we went back. Soon,We reached our campsite. We were told to use one words to describe the whole trekking. And i use “contented”.Because after completing the trekking as a group,we came back together and at that moment that was the word use to describe my feelings at that moment. Then we cooked our dinner,as I am in the chef team. Although i am not up to any help,our food was rated 5-star food..xD. Then we had our “Night Communication”.It was great to hear others people ambitions and their wonderful voices. I felt so warm-hearted. Then lights off!
4th day of the camp
As usual,we wake up at 5.30 a.m. We had to prepared our breakfast and lunch. Finish packing our things,we had to unpitched our shelters. Same things,leading a healthy lifetsyle and exercise,we also played games. Then we learnt about kayaking. Such as some of its parts like bow,starboard, handlines,deck,hatch etc. This time was using different kayak,it was called “Cobra Tandem”.The one that i used before its cock-pit type. Then we set off to our new campsite by kayaking. We reached there at about 3 plus if i am not wrong. The island was called “Monkey Island”.Up to its names,we really saw monkeys. Then again,we set up our shelters and kitchen etc. Then we started cooking dinner by Raymond's team. Till night,we went to the beach for our “Value Night”.We shared different kinds of values and it felts good to hear them speaking or learning to speak in English in order to accommodate us. But learning Behasa Melayu was fun too. Then back to sleep. Lights off!~
5th day of the camp
We wake up as usual. Then we set off to our rope courses. We also got to learnt Maritime. Then we proceed to our new campsite again. Its was one of the better campsite these few days. And we had our delicious dinner as it was the last dinner we can had together. We also had sweet watermelons. Then we had our reflections along a river. Same things,we played games. Second activity was like sharing your thoughts and thanks for these few days. I wanted to thank all of you=D. It was great to be friends with you guys and nice to hangout with. After sharing all these,i was so touched!~Then we practiced our presentations for the next day. Soon,lights off!~
6th day of the camp
As usual,we wake up at 5.30 a.m then we got to unpitch our tents and shelters. Then after that we packed up and waited for the truck to come and picked us up and drop us back to the base camp. Finally,we were going home. But we were unable to bear with one another. Then we had our closing ceremoney and our presentations. Then we get into out group and our instructor,kak wani presented our certificates to us. Both Raymond and I presented our souvenirs to them. And we all burst out in tears. It like through these 5 days of camps,been through so much problems and communication problems,feelings came in. We hugged together and unable to let go. The leaving parts was so sad. At that moment,how i wished i can stayed for another few days or what. We gathered back as Singaporeans. Most of us dropped our tears. Its was so unbearable. Then we board the ferry. We reached the jetty and we board our coach and went for our lunch. Then went for some sight-seeings. Then we went to shoppings for only 1 hours. Then we went for dinner before returning to hotels. Then we had our wash ups and we had our reflections as a whole groups. We shared thought and learning points together. Then back to our rooms,lights off at 11.30. Good sleep throughout the night. Shiok!~
Last day of the camp
We wake up at 7a.m and had our buffet breakfast then went to some cultural places and shoppings. Then after lunch,we proceeded to airport and checked in. We boarded the plane at 2.55p.m. We reached Singapore Changi Airport at around 6 p.m. Most of us went home. After I reached home, i went to sleep fast asleep and soundly.!~
Thoughts for this camp:
This camp makes me learnt that communication is a barriers. But friendship comes first,competitions comes second. This camp makes me more mature and wider range for thinkings and expanding. I learnt to be independent as we leave our homeland and live in the outdoor. Its cool. Guys out there,if you had a chance for outdoor actvities,go for it. You will regret if you don't. I also wanted to thank Mr leong for taking care of Jyians and also others. And also specially thanks Mr shang for giving us these chance to go for this camp and the training,both mentally and physically. Thanks a lot. I appreciated. I will apply what i have learnt from this camp and bring it to school and outside life. Thanks everybody for giving me this chance!~
